How do I fix Google Talk Authentification Failed/cant use play store?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tablet (Like the original!). I just recently reset it - I wanted to teach my mom to use it and get her on Facebook. Ever since then, it won't connect to the play store and I keep getting authentification messages. I've tried creating different email addresses but still nothing. Please Help!
