What happens if I delete a photo on my phone?

Hello, I have a question about deleting photos on my phone.

I have way too many pictures and videos, so my question is, what happens if I delete it from my phone? I have another google app ("Photos" is the name I believe) that stores my pictures when I take them. Will they automatically disappear from the app or will I need to back them up to google manually?

Hello. They will stay in your Google or Google + account. They only sync one way.
You can of course delete them from Google using an app or on a pc browser logged in to your account.
