AC Question

I had a clock alarm on my phone. It rang at 12:57pm(local time). I turned off the alarm as usual. Left the phone for 13 mins. Picked up phone at 1:09pm and BAM!! phone is totally reset. All my data's gone and i have to set everything again from the beginning. Anyone has the same problem? And is there a way to recover the phone to previous state?

My phone is MOTO G (1st generation).

Welcome to Android Central! This kind of thing is mentioned every so often here, and presumably represents some sort of catastrophic software glitch. A factory reset essentially wipes your local data, so hopefully you had as much as possible synced or backed up to some sort of cloud account. There's no easy one-step way of restoring your phone to the way it was, but through a combination of logging back in with your Google account and reinstalling your apps from Google Play Store, much of that data should re-sync.
