Why, whenever I use an emoji in a text recently, does it send the wrong one?

I've had this Galaxy S5 phone since April, and it always used to send the text emoji that I chose. For about the last week, though, it always sends a different one! Isn't there anything that can be done to make it work right again?

Check your keyboard settings, the support for emoji is provided by the Unicode set that the Keyboard is able to provide and in some cases some emojis like "" will be displayed different due to that mismatch. Try with Google Keyboard from Playstore first to see if happens again
