Why is my smartphone (Galaxy S4) doesn't mesure distance with Google Fit when connected to Moto 360?

I've been using Google Fit on my Galaxy S4 for a while and it did always work pretty well. It recognised when I walked, cycled or runned and recorded everything automatically as it is suposed to. Around a week ago I got a Moto 360 and set it up. Since that moment Google Fit stopped recording the distance. It still recognises my steps and the time I'm active, but the distance is not recorded. I cycle around 10 km a day and it only shows around 500 meters... As soon as I disonnect the smartwatch Google Fit starts recording the distance properly.
All software is up to date.
Any ideas?
