I have a new Moto E 2nd gen running Lollipop 5.0.2. When I move apps to my SD card, the icons disappear and are replaced with the generic android icon, and the names change, so e.g. Evernote becomes com.evernote, and some of the apps' names become long strings of urls/words/numbers. However, they still work OK and appear correctly on the home screen. If I move the apps back to the phone, then the icons and names are restored. I've tried unmounting and remounting the SD card, rebooting the phone, running SD Maid.

I know that it's not that important as the apps work OK (for the moment) but it is annoying because I know it should not do this. I had this SD card in a 1st gen Moto E before and it worked as it should. And ideas? Thanks.

I think your device has a virus, just perform a Hard Reset, it may solve your problem.
