Android 5.x on an LG Leon (mfg 9/2015)

How do i display a longish, composed, unsent message in full screen (before sending) without the KB or previous messages covering half the message?

I dictated a message to "Hi DARLENE" which, embarassingly, the speech software interpreted as "Hi DARLING...." but because I couldn't see the beginning of the message, and because closing the KB stacks previous messages over the new message, I was unable to see the entire message before I sent it. My bad, I know, but I was in a hurry.

I seems to me that this issue probably DOES have a solution, but after hours of searching I can find absolutely nothing on ANY search engine.

Any suggestions or a solution would be much appreciated. TYVM. Rich.

Hi, welcome to the forums! I don't think you can expand the text window in most stock messaging apps. Maybe some third party app from the Play Store could include that feature. But in general, for very long texts I prefer using some editor of Notes taking app first and then copy & paste to that text window. Easier and safer :)
