help please galaxy s3

Hello.

I have a galaxy s3 (AT&T)
running Android 4.4.2 kit Kat.

I'm having trouble with the top left of my screen. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I think its a software issue because I can turn my phone to the side and still can't use the top left of the screen. If I restart my phone the top left will work for some time, but stops working again. I have all ready done a master rest on the phone awhile back to fix the problem, but the problem comes back. Is there anything else I can do to fix this problem. Any help will be appreciated.

Facebook Messenger, if you are using it, may be causing the trouble. Try disabling it and see whether that fixes it.
