Samsung s3 on charger overnight. This morning just a screen with lines

Phone appears to be hacked imo. Kies does not reconise it I've removed battery and reinstalled but will not restart. Nothing comes on other than a screen with lines

Can you go into recovery mode? Turn the phone off and hold the home,power and vol up bottom at the same time.
