Why is a + sign showing up on all my phone numbers

A plus sign is showing up on all of my local phone contacts. Does this mean I have a virus? I ran my anti virus program & it says no threats. Then how did the + sign appear. I dont want to tell anyone as it may be A danger to their phone

No, that's normal. The leading + sign is a common character with phone numbers, particularly international numbers.

But I have no international numbers saved, and depending on where I look, + will show up in all of my contacts.

It's harmless.
