Can I update my Samsung Galaxy S3 if I just unbricked it?

I just unbricked my Samsung Galaxy S3 because I tried to install an update while it was rooted. I unbricked using I think a custom firmware, but now the device is telling me theres an update available should I install the update or no? Will it bricked my phone again?
