What is causing my Tab to erase it's apps after it crashes?

My tab keeps crashing and once it starts again multiple apps would stop working. I have to uninstall/reinstall apps to make them work again. What could be causing this?
Also, what could prevent this from happening again?
This is making me regret getting an android...
