Lost old fogey

Hi everyone and thanks for your acceptance, I find tech very difficult so please accept my apologies and bear with me, I am 73 yrs of age and live in Kent UK, I own a Galaxy S23 phone which my granddaughter has shown me how to take pictures with, my problem is when I connect by USB cable to my windows 11 PC to transfer my pics it tells me the parameters are not correct and it does not work, I would be very grateful if someone could tell me in idiot language how to resolve this many thanks Chris

Did pop up appear when you first plug the phone to the computer to allow access?

Have you tried different ports on the computer or cable?

Welcome to Android Central! Also, when the phone is connected to the PC via USB cable, swipe down from the top of the phone screen to see your notification panel, and look for a USB notification. Tap that, and make sure it's set to "File Transfer."
