Wifi says it is connected but still has an exclamation mark? Moto g 2nd gen

Hey there
I just bought a motorola moto g 2nd gen and I am having wifi problems. It says it is connected to my wifi (which I know is working on other decives) but it has an exclamation mark next to it and when I try to do a system update it says it must be connected to wifi.
Any ideas?

The ! means that while the phone is connected, it can not communicate to Google's servers. Do you have any kind of filtering or port blocking on your WIFI network? There might be some kind of restriction that isn't letting your phone go out.

I have been having the exact same issue for a couple of days. I have a Moto X (2nd gen). I'm not aware of any changes that we've made to our wifi network here at home. I'll have a look at our router settings (it's an Apple Airport Extreme). Any other ideas or suggestions would be welcome. Thanks!
