I have a Galaxy Note I have taken a number of photos and want to find the GPS position. Long and Lat.
The picture clearly has the details as it shows the location on a small Google Map.
    But I need the numbers.

Hi, I don't think this is something the stock camera offers. What happens when you click "info" on the photo, does it display it? have you considered using a 3rd party camera app, some have the facility to record the GPS position.

Welcome to Android Central! First, in the Camera settings, you have the Geo-tagging option turned on, right? Second, what happens if you look at the photo information using the Google Photos app? On mine, it shows the town, and under that the longitude and latitude.
