Software update for Note 3

Hi I have been using samsung note3 for around 3 years. But still I having kitkat no update came to phone throughout these three years. I inquired and got to know that some regions don't get updates. How can I get this fixed? Can I do it myself. Please tell me a link that I can get lolipop update. And just want to know that will note 3 support for mash mellow. Model SM-N9005. Thanks.

The Note 3 generically supports Marshmallow (my wife has been running it forever - I refuse to, and am still on 4.4.2).

Go to the Note 3 section of XDA Forums and see if someone has a 5.0 ROM for the 9005. (If so, there will be instructions on how to install it.)
