kids put password to phone cant use it unless its emergency

galaxy s4 has password and i cant get it to use at all

You should be able to factory reset the phone from recovery. Google search the button combination for your device. Or if you have adb installed you can use it to reboot into recovery. Once you get to recovery just use vol +/- to scroll through the menu and usually either the power button or home button to select. Highlight and select factory reset... It should fix the problem.
