Connection to server lost touch to retry

AC Question

I have the galaxy s6 edge plus, when I try to view YouTube videos I get a black screen with message "Connection to server lost, touch to retry" when I'm connected to my WiFi. I can only view videos while using phone data. Also, can't download app updates while connected to WiFi, only wIth phone data. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! Does this happen on any wi-fi network, or just your home network? If it's just your home network, first try rebooting your router by unplugging its power for 10 seconds, then plugging it back in. If that doesn't help, try logging into the router settings and disable IPv6.

Try changing your router to AES encryption, not TKIP or TKIP+AES. Some implementations of Android just can't handle some implementations of TKIP. (I had to buy another router to overcome my Linksys' problem, the "new company" wouldn't even talk about it without a payment from me. Lucky for me, a Netgear WRT 2000 was only about $40.)
