New software version wiped out some files

[AC Question]

Help please. I have Samsung S4. I recently installed new software update. After it finished installing, I noticed immediately that a bunch of links to different websites are gone. And when I save shortcuts to some of them, tgey disappear from my phone, again. I'm so mad about this. I had 20+ shortcuts to medical websites, research sites, periodicals sites, etc. No way I can remember them. I've been saving these shortcuts in a folder I created, some for almost a year. Stupid, stupid software updates. Can someone tell me how to send shortcuts to my hone screen and have it NOT disappear?
