Can't get android pay to work on my Galaxy note 4

I'm from the UK and I bank with First Direct. I've downloaded the android pay app loaded the card details and got it a authorized ,but it doesn't work. It doesn't even register with the terminal or with my phone. And the NFC is turned on.

Seems not all terminals have NFC capabilities. Have to look for the logo. I tried successfully at Staples and a McDonald's. Got a free gig of data added so far, one more use and I get another gig from Verizon.
