Should i remove my sd card befor i do a factory reset?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, & it is EXTREMELY slow in every area, loading pages, typing, turning off & on, seriously everything, & my question is simple i am going to preform a factory reset...all i want to know is if i should remove my sd card while i do this, is it possible to just get a yes or no answer? Thanx to anyone who takes the time to read this...have a great day!!
