After MM update, "Unfortunately, Contacts has stopped;" why?

A

AC Question

I updated to Marshmallow recently and have been experiencing multiple agitating problems that did not previously exist. 1) I cannot open my Contacts, and sometimes the Phone will not open, without the error message appearing. 2) My battery is draining very quickly. 3) My phone is getting overheated. 4) Calls are dropping or caller cannot hear me. 5) Bluetooth will turn off and on when it should just stay on.

I have tried all day to fix my Verizon Note 4. I have followed most suggestions given on various web sites/forums. Nothing has worked. Are these the only options to fix these problems: a) Factory reset? b) Wait for another update to fix bugs? c) Get a new phone?

I do not really want to back everything up to factory reset the phone, but it seems that may be the correct option as it is usually required when updating OS, right?

A Backup & Reset is not required when updating the OS, but may fix problems experienced afterwards. First, try a Cache Partition wipe.
