Internet Tethering works But all other apps are not connecting

I changed my apn settings to include a proxy. Now all the apps other than Sound Cloud are unable to establish a connection. However, when I tether my phone with my computer via Wi-Fi, the computer is able to connect to the internet too. If I remove the proxy, all the other apps also work, but I need that proxy. Please help me fix this, anyone . The phone runs on Android 4.2.2
