Wanna Share my thought regarding Misplaced phone on Silent mode functionality..
I have tried it in my phone and it was working fine but the only drawback I could say is phone requires the internet connection to get the alert ring. Kindly try out to trigger the alert to the phone or change it to the ring mode even if the phone is offline. Because the user is already logging in with their phone details in the Desktop browser(Google Play Account). so that would be more than enough I feel...
