Streaming via a cable AVR to an Android phone

[AC Question]

I wish to set up a very high definition Thermal Camera unit using the high definition screen of my Android phone. I want to make it hand held. Power isn't a problem.
In short it will be analog output from the Flir Thermal camera to an AVG to digital convertor to the phone.
Can this be done?
I've found AVG to DVG and HDMI converters on Ebay but I don't know if the phone can use their output.
