can't send a message

i have a samsung galaxy s6 edge and i was sending a message to a contact but i pressed a notifiction by mistake and now i can't send messages to that contact is there anyway to restore the setting to that contact so i can send messages to it again

Welcome to Android Central! You pressed a notification? Do you mean you swiped down the notification panel and tapped something there? Are you able to send messages to other contacts?
