Long time Android user but had a work-forced iPhone 6 which has just died on me conveniently just after 1 year warranty expired. I was able to backup to iTunes before the motherboard completely died so all the data should be captured as the iPhone won't even power on now.
Have just bought a Galaxy S7 Edge and went to restore using Smart-Switch however the iPhone backup is encrypted. I know the password but I don't have an option to un-encrypt via Smart-Switch. I can't access the backup through iTunes without the (dead) iPhone being plugged in.
Rather frustrating knowing the data is right there but I can't access it even though I know the password!
