AC Question

While I was on vacation recently, my selfies went magically from normal one day to "negatives" and now back to normal. Why? Most importantly - How can I recover these selfies that went "negative" for a short while? They stayed as negatives even when I uploaded to my pc. Are there any fixes to get these photos back?

Are they ordinary negatives, or dark....what some have described as X-Ray-like? The latter was a bug caused by an update if I recall right, the fix for which was to reboot the phone. I don't know whether that fixed it in arrears, or only for future shots. I'll ask around.

Also, welcome as a new member. :)

Very very dark and almost look like X-Rays or Negatives. The phone works perfectly now, but I took a lot of selfies during that time that I would like to have if these are fixable. I uploaded them to my pc but they stayed bad. I am just trying to figure out if there is a fix for these bad photos. I still have them on the phone and also uploaded.

Thank you for your help on this matter.

I'm sorry to say that the photos are junk... The same thing happened on my wife's S7 and I poured over them to see if the information was still in tact, but the photos were totally compromised.

Near as I can tell, there is a bug in the processing software for the front facing camera on both S7 models... I know, it happened to my wife on a couple of occasions.

Good news is a reboot clears it, bad news is it might come back and any affected photos are lost.
