I have been having issues with my Alcatel One Touch Sonic A851L, android 4.1.2, probably due to my own careless tampering with root. The long story can be seen in these threads:

I found a way to install a launcher (I stupidly deleted the stock launcher on my bloatware deletion spree): I sent the .apk via Bluetooth from another device. Then I sent .apks for the most recent versions of Google Play Services, and Google Framework. Didn't think that would work, since before the factory reset, no apps were able to install at all; my device would immediately reboot when I hit the install button. But since the factory reset, my device is able to install apps, but won't reboot at all. It stays on the logo screen. The only way I can get back in it is to go into recovery mode, factory reset, then reboot. The reboot only works immediately following the factory reset. Then I have to go through the whole process of installing the launcher again. I don't always have access to another Bluetooth enabled device, so if my phone were to shut off spontaneously in public, I wouldn't be able to get back into it.

Another problem is, my recent apps button is not displaying my recent apps. It vibrates on touch, but nothing shows up. I'm wondering if the issue that's causing that is the same one that's not allowing my phone to reboot normally.

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?
