ATT insurance claim note 4

My note 4 is having some serious problems, likely linked initially to battery life. I am trying to do a restore but am not sure I can keep it running long enough to accomplish this. I have a family insurance plan and due to other members claims my deductible might be $150. I am wondering if I file a claim if anybody has any idea what they are replacing note 4's with now? For the price I could pick up a refurbed note 4 or even 5 my deductible is not worth paying. If they are replacing with a new 5 or refurbed 6 it is worth filing the claim. I am due for an upgrade but would like to monitor what is going to happen with the 7 before I upgrade. Any advice or tips?
