AC Question

I have a Moto G 2015(G3 running Android 6.0.1)I have not installed many apps. The only big app i have is Real racing 3 that uses 2.4 gb(according to es file explorer). My android file uses 3.03gb((according to es file explorer). And when i select all the folders and see its total storage its just 4.04 gb. But,when I see the storage in Es file explorer main screen it says my 9.8gb is used. How is that even possible. Where is the rest 5gb. According to the file explorer in the settings the storage has distributed in a way that covers all the 9.8gb. But why can't i see it in Es file explorer. I could have added screenshots but i don't know how to do it here. And by the way I know i can format my internal but i want to know how this is happening so it doesn't happen again. Please help.

Its common for android. Typically as u use your smartphone the os keeps on creating cache data & others. Install an app called STORAGE ANALYER AND DISK CLEANER from playstore. its really a handy tool. it will show u which are the biggest files that are eating up your storage.
You can clear you cache data periodically. its safe. hope it helps
