cancel download?

Hey all.

This is my first Android, and I started a download of some files I've been waiting on, but it's telling me it's going to take 7 hours. I want to know how to cancel this download?

I don't see any option to cancel, so I may have to just torn off my phone. But I don't want it to resume when I turn it back on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What phone do you have? Can you stop the download after a long press on the notification? Where are you downloading those files from?

I have an S7E. I was trying to download them from a shared Google Drive. I couldn't figure out a way to save to my Google Drive from the shared drive on my phone. I did try the long press, but it only opened up my notifications.

I eventually just rebooted my phone, but the download started back up when it restarted back up. I turned off all my data connections it eventually stopped downloading.

I'd still like to know if there is a more direct and efficient way to cancel downloads.
