Why does my wifi keep disconnecting?

I have a Samsung galaxy s7 edge and Ithe has been working fine until recently.
It has been disconnecting from my wifi network after a few seconds of being connected. It's not just my wifi as it does it at my girlfriends house as well. I am stuck for what to do and would appreciate any help.
