Why does my lock screen keep freezing up

[AC Question]

The lock screen on my LG volt keeps freezing up so I can't get into it at all to answer messages listen to voicemails ect. The first time it happened within 24 hours it corrected itself now no matter what I do power it down or take out the SIM card it's still frozen and I can't get into ANYTHING!! Please help!
