Locked out of new phone, help!

Getting the message 'your unlock password is required after a restart ' I have no idea what this code is it looks like its all numerical. There is no way to reset on 'google account' think it's because I set up fingerprint scan to unlock. Thanks for your help.

Welcome to Android Central. You did not specify which device you have, but on my LG V20, when I setup the fingerprint option, it required me to also create a backup password. This is for your protection in case the fingerprint reader stops working. I have to manually enter the password I created after a phone restart.

Perhaps you used a password that you currently use for one of your other apps, or maybe the unlock password from your previous device?
