HTC 10 seems to store my photos to my Google drive automaticallymy

My photos seem to be stored on my Google drive as they take ages to appear in the gallery when I try to view them, they also take a while to come into focus. I think they are being stored on my Google drive but I would prefer them to be stored on my phone, anyone else have this issue and how can I store the photos straight to my memory card, thanks in advance for your help

Depends on what app you are using. If you are using the Photos app with the paper windmill logo, that is the Google Photos app that scans Google Drive. You need to use an app that only looks at local storage. For example, Samsung has a separate gallery app that doesn't look at Google Drive, just local.
