Why is my phone installing apps randomly without my permission?

AC Question

OK. The story begins: I was playing a game on my 5.0 lollipop phone, when suddenly a white screen pops up saying: Launcher loading... and a gif of a loading circle thing. Then I see a notification that some apps are being downloaded. I hold the notification(to see which app is sending me the notification) and it says "Download manager". I realize that those are not random apps, those are ad-promoted apps:
some of them are
Township,
IQ test,
and some security apps.
I've never istalled those apps before. I did a factory reset yesterday - nothing. I recovered only those apps:
Clash Royale(com.supercell.clashroyale)
4 Share apps(com.fshareapps.android)(I suspect this one because its full of ads)
REC screen recorder- can't find the path but the dev is SPECTRL
Viber(com.vider.voip)
Whatsapp(com.whatsapp)
Youtube - can't find the path but the dev is Google Inc.
ColorNote - can't find the parh but the dev is Notes
Google Play games . can't find the path but the dev is Google Inc.
Morse Code Translator - the dev is Apps Bilgi Teknolojieri

Can you help me?Is it malware?Do I need to flash my phone?

P.S.: I can't exit the "Launcher Loading..." screen except by powering down, rebooting or taking the battery out.
P.P.S.:This does not appear in safe mode(yet)

Welcome to Android Central! Chances are that the game you installed carried some malware with it. Did you install it from the Google Play Store or from elsewhere?

Are you saying that even after a factory reset, it starts to reinstall those apps? If so, do another factory reset, and this time, after finishing the Setup Wizard, go immediately to the Play Store and stop any app from automatically installing. Now see if any unwanted apps still try to download and install.

Yes it's from the Google Play store and it's marked with "EDITORS' CHOICE"
As to the reset, I reset it and it doesn't download anything just as long as I'n not connected to Wi-Fi or cellular, but if i connect, after the setup wizard it pops the "Launcher Loading" screen again and again apps are being downloaded, so I keep my WI-Fi and cellular off.

The culprit isn't necessarily the game you were playing at the time you noticed the malicious behavior. What other apps have you installed? Anything installed from outside the Play Store?

I haven't insalled any other apps, all are from Play Store... Look... Maybe someone has my Google password... The apps do appear in My Apps in Google Play

I doubt that someone else has your password. This sounds more like adware or malware behavior.

How new is the phone? Some phones (especially the ones direct from China) might actually come with this kind behavior as a "feature.":-\
