AC Question

the only place I see sms default is within the app I have downloaded, 'messenge'.
in the device (tool) settings, I don't see any place that allows for defining what app
should sms be assigned, there is no sms default, or sms anything.
in the message app, if you go into settings a line says default sms app but nothing happens when I tap it or try to slide it.
I am so lost.
can someone help me please?

In some devices it is Settings/More, on others it has it's own header usually called app defaults, I've also seen on some Samsung devices it will be Settings/App Manager/then hit the menu button in the top right corner. I hope you find it. What OS and phone model?

When you say "SMS" are you referring to an app named "SMS something" or are you referring to the transportation protocol?

You don't set SMS as a default for an app. You set an app as the default message app to send SMS messages.
