    I am using a Samsung 12.2 Galaxy Note Pro, 5.1.1 android version with all updates installed. I cannot tell when OS was last updated. So, when using Excel, Word and other Play Store apps they either freeze or crashing giving a black screen. It seems that Google apps in general are OK for the most. However, apps like Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other 3rd party created apps crash, black screen or appear to reboot while going back to main menu during the crash.

    I read somewhere that TouchWiz might be the culprit since the last OS update?

    Anyway, I look forward to comments or ideas concerning this issue.

    I finally fixed it. So it was the sim card causing the problem. I took out the sim card and it works just fine now but without the LTE
