Have had LG K7 ssincelate Nov. Keep getting low storage/ unable to update system due to low memory messages.

Am running fewer apps on this phone than my previous one. I have deleted everything I can think of but still have problem - 8G capacity with only 437kb memory. There are tons of apps & widgets I don't use but have no idea what they are for. What can I safely uninstall to free up space?

Yes, 8G is a very small amount of storage.
If your file browser app has a built-in "trash bin", make sure you empty it.

Using your file browser app, what is taking up the space?

Welcome to Android Central! It's safe to uninstall any app, because you can always reinstall it if you need it. The phone won't let you uninstall crucial apps (like system apps), because preinstalled apps can't be uninstalled on an unrooted phone. Unfortunately, this also includes preinstalled bloatware from the manufacturer or carrier.
