AC Question

Just broke my qlinlk screen but phone has a sim card trying to put it in another phone but giving message to enter code

Welcome to Android Central! That suggests that you or someone else entered a SIM lock code for security. You don't remember doing so?

I have the same question. I want to unlock my Samsung Galaxy J3 Luna Pro, as I _hate_ the phone that QLink has sold me.

But I don't know the carrier. I can only assume that it's Tracfone, since, when I boot it up, it says "Tracfone" on the screen. See, I bought it off a site called VIPOutlet.Com, not directly from a carrier.

You bought a device not knowing what carrier or if its un locked?

@mustang7757
I _know_ it's not unlocked, otherwise I could use it with my phone service provider, wouldn't I?
@B. Diddy
Thank you
@Rukbat

You're right. That's why I bought one from somebodyelse. I've _bought five phones from them_, and they all suck!

You need a QLink SIM card to use your device with a QLink account, yes. "Jailbroken" is an Apple term, similar to rooting on Android. No, you don't need to be rooted, but the device definitely needs to be unlocked which can be done by contacting Verizon (or it may already be done if it's met Verizon's requirements for such).
