In need of help ASAP my s7edge got stolen

I wasn't able to log in on the computer but my other Samsung phone can access my Google account so I tried logging in and it says the device is unreachable and when I click lock and erase this comes up "to use the lock or erase options you need to turn them on for the selected device. Send it a notification to get started" so I clicked send what will happen next? Will it be locked from the moment my s7 connects to the Internet?

No. It sounds like that feature was not activated on the phone. Nothing will happen.
