unable to view my photos after transfer to SD card

I moved some photos from an unused phone (S4) to a SD card but I it's like nothing was moved over at all. The new photos did not show up in the gallery. I check the phone I moved the photos from and the photos are no longer there so they should be in the SD card right? I've tried deleting the nomedia file and clear data from gallery but still no luck. Please help

Is there anything unusual when moving? It is possible that the transfer was interrupted and the photos were not successfully moved to SD card. If you used cut instead of copy, the original might be deleted as well.
