'Application low on memory' message on LG G4

For the last month or so, I've been getting the message "Application low on memory" throughout various apps and such on my LG G4. I've checked my RAM usage and it's at 94% used (2.6GB/2.8GB). The message pops up regardless of what I'm doing, and I usually only have one or two apps open at a time. Is there a fix for this?
