how to fix pattern swipe

[AC Question]

I have an old samsung galaxy rush it hasn't been charged in a while maybe close to a year I put it on the charger and it fully charged 100 percent but there is a pattern swipe lick on the phone that's not letting me swipe. The phone won't do anything except for turn on and off.....please help

Welcome to Android Central! What do you mean it won't let you swipe? The screen won't respond to touch? If so, the touchscreen is probably faulty.
