Removing voicemail notification

A

AC Question

Every time I start my phone I get a notification that there's a voicemail message. I can force a stop but next time the phone starts the irritating notification returns. There is no voicemail message! My carriers say that it's the handset rather than a hidden voicemail message. I can see that this is a problem with some other Samsung models but I haven't seen a solution for the S7 Edge in any of the forums. Any suggestions please?

On Samsung A3 and any device with the Samsung device security. Go to Settings/Device maintenance and tap. It should automatically scan and optimise the phone. If it doesn't tell it to optimise and it deletes the notification.

Had this quite a few times and only thing that worked properly for me was to call from another phone and leave yourself a few voicemails. I always leave myself 3 just to be sure. Listen to and delete your voicemails and you should be good.
