AC Question

I connected my old Sony Xperia E to PC using a Micromax USB cable and when I disconnected it, all of my data in internal memory and SD card disappeared . I tried using "Wondershare Dr. Fone" to recover it but it didn't worked. What should i do? Please suggest solution in which i don't have to root my phone.

Welcome to Android Central! Were you mounting it as USB Mass Storage (which is different from MTP, used by more modern devices)? If so, you always have to click the Eject option on the computer before you disconnect (just like with USB flash drives or SD cards inserted into your computer). Otherwise, you can cause corruption if the computer was in the middle of a read-write operation when you disconnected. If that Wondershare program didn't work, you're probably out of luck.

In order to recover lost data from Android, you have to root your device first, if didn't, the recovery tool will also root your device in the recovery process.
