Why won't my phone charge in the house but will charge in my car?

I have a Samsung galaxy s6 which unfortunately went for a swim in the toilet. I dried it out in rice in the airing cupboard and it now works. Unfortunately now my phone will not charge on any of my plug sockets in my house but will charge in my car? Could you please tell me what I should do?

Back up everything while you still can, if you haven't already done so, and consider taking it to a repairer for assessment. Bear in mind that water damage is progressive, so spending money on the phone may be unworthwhile.
