Why can't I root my Android 5.0 Nextbook Ares 11 tablet?

I have wanted to root my Nextbook Ares 11 w/ Android 5.0 for months now, and every app either said my device wasn't compatible or just simply didn't root my tablet. I'd love to know why so that I can get the full potential out of my Android tablet. And also, if there is no answer to my question, then why not recommend a good rooting software that I don't need a computer for, 100% works and I can download for myself for FREE? And also, I don't care if I have to use an APK or if I get it on the Google Play Store, as long as it is safe and usable. Thanks!!

Nextbook are d-bags and have blocked rooting, there are guides to do this with this tab but it requires a ton of steps including an Ubuntu PC or live disc on windows of Ubuntu, custom recovery and installation of a new rooted android for this tab
