Swirling padlock circle

[AC Question]

I've been trying to find an answer to this problem and I can't find one. My s6 edge is doing this black screen with an open padlock in a swirling rainbow circle. I didn't press anything, I set my phone down and came back to this. I can't even try to do the reboots. Nothing happens when I press the buttons, just keeps swirling. I can't wipe a cache something I can't access. Can't even turn it off.

Nougat encrypts the device when you turn it off, then it has to decrypt when you reboot after you enter your password/pattern... The padlock animation is the device unlocking.
Press and hold the power button until it turns off, it may take a while so be patient. Then reboot. If it gets stuck in that screen again, try press power, volume down and home buttons and hold until the Samsung logo popped up. Let go the power button but nor the other two... Tell us what happens if you do that..
